Voila Shadow, l'ourse qui a sa résidence à Pradinas.

Et la personne qu'il embrasse, c'est son ami et maître Jean-Philippe.

Shadow, qui veut dire "ombre" en français est une star de cinéma ! Mais il fait sa star aussi à Pradinas lors de l'animation de dressage.

Pradinas est plus que la résidence de Shadow. Il partage le terrain de 15ha avec 53 autres espèces d'animaux (mammifères, rapaces et oiseaux exotiques).

Le ticket d'entrée est à 11 € pour un adulte et 7 € pour les 3 à 11 ans. Un prix raisonnable si on considère le travail quotidien des quelques employés pour s'occuper des animaux et accueillir les visiteurs. L'été, l'après-midi est bien rempli d'animations qui donnent le petit plus à la visite. Les enfants vont aussi apprécier l'aire de jeux et/ou la mini ferme où ils peuvent entrer dans l'enclos avec les chèvres pour leur donner du maïs, en vente à l'accueil. Les parents peuvent s'installer tranquillement à l'ombre devant le snack. D'ailleurs au niveau du snack et de la boutique, ce n'est rien de prétentieux. Et contrairement à certains sites, la boutique n'est pas aménagée de façon à obliger les familles d'y passer pour forcer la vente. En bref, une belle rencontre, tant avec les animaux qu'avec les employés qu'avec un joli site qui mérite une visite !

And the person cuddling him is his friend and master Jean-Philippe.

Shadow is a film star and he likes to be the star at Pradinas as well during his training performance with Jean-Philippe.

Pradinas is more than the home to Shadow. He shares the 15ha park with 53 other animal species (mammals, birds of prey and exotic birds).

The entrance ticket costs €11 for an adult and €7 for 3 to 11 year olds, which is a reasonable price if you take into account the daily tasks of the few members of staff who take care of the animals as well of the visitors by organizing different shows. The kids will also like the playground and the mini farm where they can enter the site and feed them corn which is for sale at the entrance. Parents can sit on the nice terrace in front of the snack under the trees which offer shade. Speaking of which, the snack and its boutique are nothing pushy. You are not forced to go through the boutique where your children might be tempted to demand for this or that object. It is discreetly situated next to the snack. This is one of the reasons that I personnaly consider the park worthwile; a happy encounter with the animals and the staff on a beautiful and spacious site.
